amphibianArc’s Calligraphy in Space has been awarded The American Architecture Award for 2013 by The Chicago Athenaeum: Museum of Architecture and Design and The European Centre for Architecture Art Design and Urban Studies. The American Architecture Awards are the highest and most prestigious building awards program that honor new and cutting-edge design in the United States.

Calligraphy in Space is one of 65 projects that were selected by a distinguished group of Greek architects and educators at the 2013 Jury for Awards held in Athens, Greece.

In September 2013, The Chicago Athenaeum, together with The European Centre for Architecture Art Design and Urban Studies will present a special exhibition of all awarded buildings at their annual symposium, “The City and the World” during the 14^th International Biennial of Architecture in Buenos Aires.
